North Queens Fire Association: Serving Since 1939
The North Queens Fire Association was established in 1939 to provide essential fire protection services to our community.
As a volunteer-based organization, we are deeply woven into the fabric of the North Queens area, providing vital emergency response services through the dedication of our local members.
Our current operations are run from our modern station located at 9793 Highway 8, Caledonia, Nova Scotia.
Chief Chris Wolfe currently leads the dedicated team.

Our Fire Hall: A Legacy of Service
The Association has occupied this vital spot on Highway 8 in Caledonia for decades, evolving with the community's needs.
- Original Fire Hall: 1939 - 2015
- Current Fire Hall: 2015 - Present (A modern facility built to support our growing apparatus roster and community needs.)

Apparatus Roster Overview
Our volunteer firefighters are equipped with a versatile fleet to handle a wide range of emergencies in the North Queens area. All pump/tank measurements are in Imperial gallons.

- Engine 11: 1998 E-One Cyclone II MFD Vista / Superior (1500 TME/600/10F) (Ex-Wolfville FD)
- Pumper 12: 2009 Sterling Bullet / LRB Fabricators (1050/300)
- Tanker 21: 2018 International WorkStar 7600 tandem / Metalfab (1250/3000)
- Tanker 22: 1997 Ford F-800 / Metalfab (1050/1000)
- Rescue 31: 2023 Spartan FC-94 / Lantz walk-in
- Utility 51: 2018 Ford F-350 rescue
- UTV 61: 2018 Kawasaki MULE PRO-FX off-road rescue
- Boat: 2021 Whaly 435 16'
Retired Apparatus Highlight:
We honor our history! The following units served North Queens before being retired or sold to other departments:
- 1988 Ford E-350 / Lantz rescue (Sold to Ingonish Beach FD)
- 1986 GMC General / LRB Fabricators pumper/tanker (Sold to Bay St. Lawrence FD)
- 1970 Chevrolet C50 / Thibault pumper (Ex-Merigomish, Ex-Amherst)
